Start the summer off right with the GLBT community Memorial Day weekend picnic, now called SPIKE. Moving back to the North Park Lodge on Sunday, May 25TH, your one priced admission ticket to SPIKE will include a fun day in the sun with all you can eat/drink, live performances, fun sporting activities and much more.
CORY LEE, ERIC HIMAN AND MORE!
For the first time our picnic will feature international entertainers! Best know for her performance on “The L Word Soundtrack” of her original hit "The Naughty Song", Canadian artist Cory Lee takes to the Spike stage to promote her new album “Sinful Innocence”. Former Pittsburgher and well know independent gay singer/songwriter Eric Himan returns to our city for the first time this year promoting his new album “Resonate”. Both artists will be available to meet and greet their fans after their performance.
Other musicians will be performing on the Spike stage including the top three contestants from the 941 Saloon’s Liberty Idol, drag queens and much more.
DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!
We’re re-enforcing the floor in the North Lodge because the dance floor will be hopping to the sounds of Real Luck Café’s DJ Brian, Tilden’s DJ Lawrence and P-Town’s DJ Billy Sandor. Our Disc Jockey’s will be spinning all day right up until the 6pm closing time.
FOOD & DRINK
What’s a picnic without food and drinks? Admission includes a picnic buffet including hot dogs, hamburgers, side dishes and drinks. Our sponsor, Coors, will be serving up ice cold Coors products and of course we will have non-alcoholic beverages too.
PARKING
Grab your friends and car-pool together to Spike! Parking is limited! Only vehicles with four or more person will be permitted all the way to the North Park Lodge. Vehicles with less then four passengers will be shuttled from their vehicles in busses to the site.
